I'm here to update you on what's happening at Embracing Creative.
First. I want to say THANK YOU to all of YOU who heard the call, and took your time to vote for our chance to win the Chase Small Business Grant. Sadly, our grant application was not reviewed by the Judges because we did not receive the votes needed to reach that level. Very Sad. It took a HUGE effort to go after that opportunity -- and all of you were rooting for us to win! THANK YOU!!
There was so much learning in that process... Online contests are a very different animal, AND, getting out to talk with people live on the streets was a GREAT way to generate really valuable support!
It was very hard to not reach the judging round. AND... everything, everything, provides great learning. Both hard and very good lessons came during and after that promotion... and, all I can say now is, thank goodness for long cold winters to remember the simple things in life! It took awhile, but I have finally bounced back... AND things have shifted into a new place that feels really right. It is a different place than all the action buzzing around fast and furious last Fall... but alas, where things have landed feels REALLY right. So, all is good! (I assure you, I would not have believed that, nor probably said that, at the start of 2015. I was totally cooked, and done!! But... I am happily back now... and coming at this all from a very refreshed and grounded position that feels really GREAT. So, I am happy to be here!)
There was a lot of personal learning that went on in the aftermath of putting every ounce of me into a chance to win a "big pile of money"... to fulfill my dream. AND... I suppose what I want to say most on that note is, do not ever ever ever let anything have the power to take away what YOU want most. Give yourself space, take time away if you must, but make the choices you make for your own reasons, not because someone or something else, makes it so. I could say a lot more on that... perhaps another time. For now. I simply say, I am SO grateful for the opportunity to learn, AND... the opportunity to carry on!
Now... onto current times and some GREAT newness, unfolding!
Teaching Creative Solutioning -- Where are we at Today?
Changes have come in the Embracing Creative teaching plans -- since the time of our promotion -- when you all learned about the traveling workshop plan!
Essentially... Over the last few months some key awareness became clear that prompted some re-direction.
For a long time I was grappling with how to reach many different towns, all across the land, with only short bits of time in each place, and still deliver the entire teaching to each group to meet the goal of empowering many, far and wide, with the gift of Creative Solutioning!? (happily, I've figured out a way, and that will be unfolding over time... :))
It was all a big quandary for awhile because it finally became clear that the content itself was *bigger* than the format could accommodate. SO. Changes have occurred... I have re-formulated the teaching... again... and we are ready to give it a go!
Now...
I have a new Signature Talk ready to share with *large* audiences -- where the *creative solutioning* message can reach and greatly empower a LOT of people all at one time. AND... I have an Introductory Workshop that's ready to roll, for LIVE or ONLINE delivery, as well!
SO. Change has occurred, and all is good. And isn't that to be expected? After all, that IS how life and the creative work!! We make a plan... lots of things happen that change that plan... but eventually... an idea that is strongly planted... finds a way... and new life eventually grows! I think that is where Embracing Creative is at, now. We are growing, changing, learning, adjusting and more... all along the way!
