We made a massive valiant effort -- with lots of GREAT learning in the process (including a hard lesson on how online contests work!) AND, sadly, we did not win the votes needed to reach the judges with our GREAT application, and plans! 

So, with DEEP GRATITUDE to ALL who helped (SO MANY OF YOU!), this section is being put to rest. Yet, as a testament to our efforts with some great stories from our process, we leave this live, for memory's sake!

This is so fun! I'm getting a tiny taste of what it's like to *campaign* and WOW... it's a lot of energy, but VERY energizing, too!

We are in the running for a Chase Small Business Grant, and all I can see right now is... "get votes" ...

You see, the votes allow us to *reach* the Judging Round of this competition -- and our voting deadline is THIS Friday! There will be 20 grants awarded, so there's a lot of room for winning... but we MUST reach the Judges. And that is why... I am hitting the streets! Drumming up Votes, from anywhere I can... because I really want EmbracingCreative.com to gain access to the tremendous resources this Grant can provide.

Why are we doing it? We are ready to head across the land with our traveling teaching workshops that share *creative solutioning* ~ and, *right* on time, we landed on THIS grant that can FUEL our needs with MUCH greater ease! We're traveling by land, living on the road, meeting people in towns across the land to teach, speak about and share this next-gen problem solving approach that took decades to create: all about solving needs, with much greater ease - in life, business, community and more!

SO... our grant budget will furnish some really important needs: purchasing a upgrade in our traveling live-aboard vehicle, fuel for a full year, tech equipment to document the teaching (video, audio, more). 
 
But, today... it's all about the Vote... so THAT we can reach the Judges!

Mission Main St Grant
]]><![CDATA[Grateful for Chase Bank]]>Sat, 11 Oct 2014 01:09:02 GMThttp://www.embracingcreative.com/helpuswin/grateful-for-chase-bank The opportunity to go after a grant that can completely fuel this operation forward is an AMAZING honor!

It is such a small amount of money to a massive large bank... AND... it is a massive amount of money... to this small business... with potential to make the difference between crawling... and Olympic running!

As stated in our Grant Application, IF we are awarded a winner, we will use the gifted funding to *fuel* this traveling teaching, forward.

We've been readying the traveling roadshow live teaching workshops for a little while... and *just* as the teaching became ready, while planning the next move to engage host locations and plan our roll-out...

THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY landed in my path!

I learned about this grant at my ATM machine 10 days ago, only 3-4 days before the final deadline to submit. And now, with only ONE WEEK to let people know AND acquire 240 more votes to reach the judges, this has been a great ride! 

The whole experience of *suddenly* being able to see the light at the end of the tunnel -- after a very long journey doing this work and preparing to *teach* it to others -- to NOW... suddenly considering being GIVEN $150,000 that can dramatically fuel this traveling roadshow forward WITH... the purchase of a road-worthy vehicle, a liveable trailer, equipment, and a year's worth of traveling fuel...

Well... all of *that*... is very humbling! Wow, is all I can say.
And so... today, I wish to say THANK YOU to Chase Bank. For the opportunity to take this step... for the opportunity to expand into BIGGER thinking... for the prompt to *think as though* I have a full budget to cover all needs, and the world of difference that makes! 

Just going through this process thus far has been a wonderful gift already. I have to keep myself in check, pinch myself a lot, and stay grounded... But I will say, it would be a magnificent opening to win $150,000 to fuel this business forward! I WILL travel and teach this work -- no matter what -- but with Chase, we will be able to do it in a lot more style, a lot faster!

It's such a small pocket of money to a massive bank like Chase... but for this small business owner... this is a MAJOR gift opportunity... to bring the dream INTO full view!!

I humbly ask and pray... that if it is right... we WILL receive the votes we need by NEXT FRIDAY... to allow this business to reach the Judges next!
